GEEETech i3B/C (METAL version): Single Extruder FAN & LED (V1)
thingiverse
Hi! Now GEEETech is stepping up with the Acrylic Prusa I3 pro series, B for single extruder and C for dual extruder, boasting metallic parts instead of original printer ones. Right away, I've ordered the upgrade kit to boost my printer's stability and quality - it wasn't bad to begin with, but this upgrade takes it to the next level. Unfortunately, the customization I designed for the plastic version won't work on the metal one, so I'm starting fresh with a brand-new design, leveraging all the lessons I learned from my original project. One key lesson was to disconnect all connections, making it easy to mount, maintain, and upgrade my printer. Here's my new Mono Extruder FAN & LED component. In this design, you'll find space for ties to keep cables in place, as shown in my photos. I've added some optional components: 1) For the FAN Duct, you can choose between closed and open versions - I prefer closed myself, but many folks might love the open version. 2) For the ABL sensor, there are supports for both rectangular IR sensors like mine or the PiBot one. 3) And if you're using a Rectangular ABL sensor, you'll find a 4D design that prints flat. As with all my designs, I've broken them down into smaller pieces to make printing and mounting a breeze.
