I successfully wore out my X carriage on my Geeetech Pro-B and was unable to get a successful print of a spare prior to that.\nI find that when I download things, I usually don't find a parametric file type that I can easily modify. Meshes are complex and less accurate than parametric files, and many times people post file types that I'm not familiar with or are very program-specific.\nSo I redesigned and did a basic edit of a carriage. I took the dimensions off an STL and remade it in 123D Design. The files are as STL, Gcode, and DWG (the common AutoDesk cross-platform). DWG should be easy to find an editor for since AutoDesk is one of the two leading companies in CAD.\nThe Gcode takes ~3-4 hours.\nM3 bolt holes.\nPrinted one, it came out rather nicely! I have so many print projects on the go that I'm uploading this in a less customary way; I'll try and get a photo up soon or include any video I show it in.\nPrint Settings\nPrinter Brand: \n RepRap\n \n Printer: \n Prusa i3\n \n Rafts: \n No\n \n Supports: \n No\n \n Resolution: \n 0.2mm\n \n Infill: \n 40%\n \n Notes: \n All set in Gcode if you want to use that!\nI used PVA wash bed, which provided perfect adhesion. I printed at 220C with a bed temperature of 70.\nHigher infill and 1.5mm thick walls were added to make it much stronger than the original, which was pretty rubbish. Also, the belt anchors were made longer to help take the strain.
