I've tweaked the design of this 3D printer component, originally created by RRacer, to better fit my own GT2560 board and other upgrades I've made. The changes are detailed below: - The entire set of components has been mirrored so that the Z motor is closer to the GT2560 board, which shortens and tidies up the wiring. - A mount for a 20mm cable chain has been added, allowing the cable to be run to the print carriage. - A DB25 connector has also been added, used on my printer to connect all of the wiring from the print carriage to the GT2560 board. This allows for quick removal of the cable chain and wiring. The separate XT30 connector is still used for the heater cartridge wiring. Additional changes include: - Holes have been added for hotend wires to keep them secure near the DB25 mount. - The bearing overhangs have been modified to allow printing without supports. - The filament guide has been mirrored, merged with the idler support, and made more rigid in the process. This was necessary as mirroring the guide meant there was no hole for mounting it without drilling. Other modifications include: - A slot has been added to the other end of the filament guide so that the belt can pass through. - The width of the filament guide has been increased to allow my printer's PTFE tube to pass through without catching on it when the Z axis is near the top. - Various shuffling of slots and screw holes has occurred, as they did not originally fit my frame. These might still require some adjustment. You will need the following components: * 1 GT2 20t pulley for motor * 2 GT2 60t pulleys with 8 mm ID for lead screws * 2 GT2 ball bearing idlers with 5 mm ID (I used ball raced pulleys instead) * 2 T8 lead screws, 300-400 mm long (350 mm is ideal) * 2-4 608 bearings (OD22/ID8/H7) * M5x30-35 screws * M3x12 screws * Perhaps additional screws, nuts, and washers This design has been in use on my printer for over a year now, enabling me to achieve speeds of over 100MM/s and 250MM/s travel with other modifications. The original files from RRacer as well as my modified ones are included. .SKP files are also available. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to ask. Feedback is greatly appreciated, especially since this is my first ever upload.
