This is a spiritual remix of poison_doc's great design. I've employed poison_doc's solution for several years, but during an overhaul of my printer I chose to create my own solution. All the models here (with the exception of the nut thumb screw) are my original designs. The primary drivers were: - lowering the angle of the supports - reducing the effort of filament change by using a roller instead of cones - this enables the filament to be changed in seconds without any fiddling with M8 nuts to tighten the cones. The nut thumb screws originate from here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:641854 Printing in PLA at 0.2mm layer height, no supports were required.
