Geeetech I3 Pro B conversion to Aluminium Extrusion 2040
thingiverse
This is a remix of Golo's awesome design, with me incorporating my own designed parts and utilizing original design elements from Golo. I created a customized case for the GT2560 that can be directly mounted on the 2040 aluminum extrusion. The Y-axis now features an alternate end stop mount, while a bracket has been added to securely attach the E3D V6 Hotend with a Bulldog extruder onto the original slider from the Geeetech I3 Pro B printer. The original acrylic glass serves as a mounting plate for the Geeetech super plate heatbed. Currently, drylin bearings are used on the Y-axis, but plans are underway to replace them with copper/graphite bearings. To replicate this build, you will need to order the following items: * 3M aluminum extrusion 2040: (2 x 440 mm, 2 x 385 mm, 3 x 270 mm) * 8mm smooth rods for the Y-axis: 500mm (two required, old Y-axis will be repurposed as X-axis) * Fans for the GT2560 casing: two 40mm, 12V fans * Timing belt: 2M long * BLtouch or 3Dtouch sensor: one required * E3D V6 kit: one required * Bulldog extruder: one required * Geeetech superplate heatbed: one 220mm x 220mm plate * Aluminum brackets for the smooth rod: four required * Drylin bearings: four required * Ballbearings 608ZZ: two required For added structural support, aluminum brackets can be used to connect the frame components together.
