I designed an alternative top mounting system specifically for the acrylic frame, which features a substantial thickness exceeding that of its wooden counterpart. Although the holes drilled for the rod are somewhat undersized, preventing any adjustments to their diameter, I successfully managed to tap them into place with gentle hammering and found it to be effective.
