I designed this protective enclosure to safeguard electrical cables from curious young hands reaching in and tampering with them. Additionally, it cleverly redirects the cooling fans between the Arduino board and Ramps 1.4 motherboard, ensuring efficient airflow within the system. This custom enclosure boasts well-designed features such as side vents, a rear exit, a dedicated slot for the USB cable and X-axis motor, all making installation much more streamlined. I opted to use just two mounting flanges to minimize the complexity of cable management during installation. Before installing this enclosure, I highly recommend lifting the Z-axis approximately 50 mm above its usual position. This straightforward adjustment shifts the motor out of harm's way during assembly and installation, eliminating any potential risks or snags that may arise. To ensure a smooth print process, be sure to utilize support material when printing the flanges – they will be greatly beneficial in preventing deformities or failed prints. When considering build space constraints, this enclosure occupies nearly half of the total bed area due to its expansive dimensions measuring around 4.25 inches x 3.25 inches x 7.5 inches (108 x 83 x 190).
