Geeetech GT2560 controller case
pinshape
I've been working on this project for several years now and it's evident in the photos due to the accumulated dust. Initially, I aimed to design a case that would keep my controller and drivers as cool as possible. Convenience was also a priority for me - I wanted easy access to the components in case of any issues. To achieve good airflow, I made four sides of the case out of aluminum, which is an excellent heat absorber. The bottom of the case features a large heat sink from an old elevator motor drive. There's ample space inside the case for air to circulate freely. A 60x60mm fan is installed in the back and another one on top of the case, which I only use on hot days when the room temperature is high. The two red buttons on the front control these fans. Accessibility was a crucial aspect for me since I had to perform extensive troubleshooting on this printer at the time. To facilitate this process, I designed the case with visibility in mind - the connectors on the back are clearly visible, ensuring that all connections are secure (a problem I encountered frequently with this printer). When the top lid is removed, everything becomes easily accessible. Although this is a large case, it provides ample space to work with.
