Geeetech G2s Hotend Mod
thingiverse
I've been experimenting with a hot end modification for my Geeetech G2s, and it's paying off nicely so far. To give you an idea of what I'm working with, I've attached a fan to the setup, and it's printing like a charm. This particular upgrade utilizes the Micro-Swiss MakerBot Replicator Nozzle & Thermal Tube kit, which is a game-changer in itself. If you want to replicate this on your own G2s, just remember that you'll need to drill and tap two extra holes to accommodate a 25x25mm fan for cooling. You can check out the Micro-Swiss upgrade at http://www.micro-swiss.com/#!product-page/cv9c/996f53f1-21c4-3150-19aa-909d18850eef, and grab the E3D heater block kit from http://e3d-online.com/E3D-v6/Spares/v6-Heater-Block-and-Fixings. Update: As of February 29th, 2016, I'm thrilled to report that I've successfully printed Colorfabb XT at a scorching 260 degrees on my Geeetech G2s without any issues.
