Geeetech G2 or G2S Bowden Extruder Guide
thingiverse
Having trouble getting filament started through your Bowden extruder? This should help! It's a small funnel-like device that guides the filament into the exit hole of the extruder with precision. The dimensions are crucial - too loose and it will flop around, potentially jamming the passageway; too tight and it won't install properly. Because of this and printer calibration issues, I've provided a SCAD file for you to modify. The variables are self-explanatory, allowing you to easily adjust them for optimal fit after a few test prints. To install, remove the extruder, fan, and bottom filament guide. Insert the funnel with the wide end facing upwards (toward the drive mechanism). A press fit is ideal, with the height adjusted just right to avoid interfering with the drive idler. Press it in far enough for the bottom extruder threads to engage, then tighten. Double-check your dimensions carefully!
