Geeetech G2/G2s Rostock Spider - Universal Snap-Fit This spider replaces the standard spider on the Geeetech G2/G2s Rostock Mini Delta printer. Its design features a snap-fit lock mechanism, making quick replacement and maintenance of the heads easy to accomplish. Inserting heads from the bottom, then applying the lock from above, completes the assembly process. Simply press the lock into its corresponding slot for a secure fit. The nozzle spread defaults to 30mm, compatible with the default E3D hotend fans. Print Settings Printer: Geeetech G2/G2s Rostock Mini Delta Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.125mm Infill: 23% Notes: Printing this spider should be a breeze, as long as you're using the 'universal_spider_plate.stl' file. This single file will print the spider itself along with various lock types (J-Head and E3D) to ensure compatibility. Additional files are provided for printing individual parts - simply rotate them according to your needs. Post-Printing Before mounting on your printer, inspect each part closely. Make sure to trim any excess material or "flashing." Additionally, verify that the locks align correctly with the installed hotends. These tolerances are critical; sanding may be required for an optimal fit. A snug snap-fit is what you should aim for – less than 10kg of force will do just fine. Mounting Steps • Ensure proper fitting by gently pressing the locks onto their respective hotends, ensuring no forced pressure. Inspect parts closely. • Remove excess material and "flashing" from both parts thoroughly. • Snap one lock onto the rear side of your hot end, secure with a few quick taps – hold it firmly until the next steps are complete. Dual Insertion When assembling the second hot end: Secure each in place carefully then lower down to align nozzle spacing for the correct printing area. Make adjustments by applying gentle pressure from all sides while ensuring that there's sufficient clearance to maintain stable printing results. Thanks are owed to both Geeetech and E3D who provided access to 3D sketches/models online, helping test and simulate fitting designs successfully.
