Geeetech G2 & G2S Carriage Hanger
thingiverse
One thing I dislike about Delta printers is that when the steppers are released, the carriage tends to plummet onto the bed. To prevent this from happening, I designed a carriage hanger that effectively stops the carriage's descent. No special print settings were required for this design; I used 25% infill, three perimeters, and no support structures. The only modification I made was drilling a hole with a 9/16" bit to clean up the area. To install the hangers, first home the printer. Next, insert the hangers by slipping the small hole over the screw that secures one of the vertical rods in place, allowing the slot to slide onto the rod itself (see accompanying image). Once installed, power down the printer and the carriage will be securely held in position. You can use one, two, or three hangers as needed. To resume printing, simply connect your device and home the printer once more; then pull the hangers off.
