Geeetech cooling fan upgrade

An upgraded and reworked version of a popular fact duct used with the stock cooling blower on Geeetech machines. I didn't like the small blower and liked the 4010 fan look. I also wanted to add an Aero-inspired fan cover that I found online. The bolt holes are designed to only be mounted on the bottom holes of the stock Geeetech cage, but may have to be opened up a bit to fit your specific machine. The fan mount holes should be a good size to use 6/32 3/4" machine screws to thread into them. I started them without the fan and used a lighter to heat the bolts up, then screwed them in with an Allen wrench. It doesn't take much heat to soften and cut threads. You can also use an actual tap in 6/32 size to cut them. The holes go all the way through if nuts are absolutely needed, but you'll have to customize on your own if going that route. The top of the duct should be roughly 1-2mm away from the hotend when mounted. You need to have your printer ready to do acceptable overhangs. I printed at 100% and softer PLA at 195 with no issues. I recommend drilling or cutting your holes larger and directional where you need them to print. The model's holes are too small for efficient cooling. This duct was not designed with maximum efficiency in mind. I don't prefer the blower-style fans, and I didn't want the fan to be angled out to stick out too far. That's why it's designed vertically with the back of the duct. I understand that this duct may not be for everyone. You can use any 4010 style fan with this duct.
