Version 2 of the Geeetech Carriage Compatible Groove Mount comes with 2 distinct extruder mounts - top and bottom. To reduce the nozzle from sticking out, use the bottom mount; for further lowering the nozzle, use the top one, featuring nuts and screws mounted on top just like version v1. Compatibility is once again key, but this version focuses more on maximizing z-axis height and minimizing the need to extend or calibrate extensively when switching between stock and E3D nozzles. The latter are longer compared to Geeetech's stock nozzle. Extra 4x M4 screws/bolts will be needed for mounting the extruder on the mount from the bottom, along with an optional 'fanduct' compatible design. Please note that this mount is specifically designed for the Geeetech x-carriage, making it incompatible with vanilla or other variants' screw holes. Key updates include: 26th June 2015: Added a servo mount, fastener base, and fastener servo to enable auto bed leveling systems. Dimensions are based on the Sky Tower Pro servo, with body measurements of 23 x 13 x 8 mm (from the mount to cable outlet) and mount dimensions of 33mm wide. 28th June 2015: A small adjustment was made to ensure a snug fit for the servo mount this time. 5/8/2015 Update: An inductive sensor add-on is available here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:956051. Instructions: This extruder mount can be used for either Bowden or direct drive configurations. For direct drive, print the extruder.stl file to attach your MK8 extruder, requiring another 4 M4 screws for stability. Always rotate parts before printing for optimal structure integrity and reduced support material usage.
