Geeetech Anti Rattle Remix
thingiverse
Update 26 Sep 2016 A keen-eyed user, cyberbobcity, pointed out a minor issue - the bracket's width was off by 1mm. I've since updated the files and removed the outdated ones. The inner width should now accurately reflect the exact width of the bracket, which is 35mm, resulting in a proper fit. Please download the revised files. This anti-rattle design is a remix of an original Anti rattle for the Geeetech Aluminium printer, but it can be adapted for use with other printers featuring metal brackets at the top. On my own printer, I noticed that the small screws holding the smooth rod in place were not flush. To address this, I added a channel to the sides. Additionally, I included a face plate to conceal the sponge behind it. To assemble the anti-rattle, simply print two units, insert a piece of sponge as shown in the original model, and slide them into place. Print Settings: Printer: Geeetech Full Metal Aluminum Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 20% Notes: Print with the flat side facing down; no supports are required.
