GEEETECH Alu Frame Bracing/Stabilizer
thingiverse
The frame of the GEEETECH alu I3 is poorly constructed and thus extremely unstable. To improve it, I designed a bracing system for this machine. You'll need just a few parts: 2 x M10x490mm threaded rods 8 x M10 nuts 4 x M8 nuts 1 x M8x300mm threaded rod Actually, you can use the original M8 (z-axis) rod from GEEETECH if you have it lying around and have upgraded to T8 rods. Otherwise, this is your chance to upgrade! That's all you need for "Bracing A". You can use the original screws. My machine is mounted on anti-vibration feet that make the printer much quieter. If you don't have these feet, the bracing system might not fit. You can find the design of my anti-vibration feet at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1798758. If you need a version without the feet, just let me know in the comments! Happy stabilized printing!
