Geeetech adjustable 50mm radial fan duct
thingiverse
I've experimented with numerous fan ducts/shrouds, yet none have truly impressed me, so I created this one myself. It draws inspiration from several other submissions on Thingiverse, while still offering a completely fresh design. My goals for this project were clear: * Height adjustability * High airflow * Maximum visibility * Support for LED lights * Integration of inductive sensors * Compact size and easy printing So far, I'm pleased to report that all these objectives have been met. The height adjustment range is quite extensive. My intention was to craft a design that emulates a 2-stroke expansion chamber, resulting in high velocity output. The duct itself is small enough for you to clearly see what's being printed. An integrated angled mounting point accommodates a 12V COB LED, such as this one: https://www.banggood.com/2W-20led-COB-LED-Chip-150mA-WhiteWarm-White-For-DIY-DC-12V-p-957670.html Two versions of the base are included - one with support for a 12mm inductive sensor and one without. Adjusting the duct's height doesn't affect the inductive sensor's position. Both the base and duct can be printed without supports, but I recommend using supports for the duct. Use only supports from the build plate; internal supports are already built-in. This design is tailored to the Geeetech i3 Pro B, but it should fit other printers as well.
