Geeetech A20 Hotend Cage 404020 fan adapter
thingiverse
I was very annoyed with the loud hotend cooler fan of the Geeetech A20 and decided to replace it with a bigger fan which is more quiet. The fan has dimensions of 40x40x20 and is mounted on the side of the hotend cage. For mounting the adapter to the cage you will need to fiddle around a little bit with the push fittings - a file and a small screwdriver come in handy. Mounting the fan to the adapter is easy - you will just need fitting screws. You might consider slowing down the fan - I used a 470 Ohm resistor for my fan and it resulted in an operating voltage of roundabout 18 V. Passive cooler stays under 30°C with these RPM and the fan is hardly audible. No problems with printing so far. I printed it with TPU, probably not possible to mount to the cage when printed with non-flexible materials
