I optimized this part here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3367569. It's recommended to print the improved part instead. This dampener effectively decreases the noise produced by the extruders by 3-6 decibels: https://youtu.be/AWhgYuN5S6s Installation requires M3 screws (8-10mm) and M3 T-nuts for securing to the aluminum extrusion. I sourced them from the filament spool holders as my filament is mounted on the wall. The protruding part can be pressed into the aluminum extrusion from the front, providing additional stability. Print in TPU with supports; yes, it's possible to remove them! However, I haven't tried printing with PLA - I anticipate a weaker noise reduction effect due to incorrect dimensions.
