This is a simple replacement for the stock fan duct.\r\nIt offers several benefits over the typically (not so pleasant) printed stock fan duct.\r\n\r\nSignificantly more airflow due to optimized flow channels... pointing directly at the material left and right of the nozzle, but does not blow directly onto the nozzle. The height of its position has also been optimized.\r\n\r\nIt's easy and fast to print... \r\nSimply print it as is, flat on the bed without any support.\r\nOn my Prusa MK3, even a 0.1mm layerheight took only about one hour to print and required approximately five grams of filament. A 0.2mm layerheight took around thirty-five minutes.\r\n\r\nThe best prints are achieved with HT-PLA or at least ABS, as it is very close to the nozzle... Maybe PETG will also work, but I'm not sure and won't test it.\r\n\r\nIf you only have PLA, try printing it and then attempt to anneal the PLA in the oven by around 100°C for about one to two hours. After the annealing process, the PLA should be able to reach a temperature greater than 120°. The only drawback is that it will shrink between 2% and 8%, depending on the material you use. So it may be a good idea to scale it up and hope that it won't warp in the oven. Just try and test it ...\r\n*************************************************\r\nUPDATE 22.01.2019: I added an angled version, which provides more cooling for the printed object and also offers a much better airflow for hotend cooling, as it opens the front for airflow instead of confining the air in the hotend case.\r\n\r\nUPDATE 15.01.2019: I also uploaded V3.1 now, which has a bit more clearance and fits better for printers that are not already fine-tuned\r\n\r\nUPDATE 06.02.2019: I updated all models and added versions for the longer nozzle as well. Improved airflow again for all models. I recommend using the angled version. Nevertheless, even the standard straight versions will work, but the angled version has more advantages also for hotend cooling.
