Geeetech a10 - E3d V6 mount

thingiverse

Shortly after starting 3D printing with a Geeetech A10, I found that the stock hot end was unreliable and decided to upgrade to a genuine E3D V6. After searching for a mount, I made one from scratch. The mount fits the stock X-axis kart on the Geeetech A10 and integrates two fans: one from the V6 to cool the hot end and another 5015 fan to cool layers. I haven't designed the blower tube yet since I only print PETG at the moment, but I will do so eventually. I didn't have M3 nuts, so I used M4 for the bottom of the mount. To do this, you need to drill holes on the kart's bottom at 4.5mm. To install it, you'll need: - 2 * M3 screws (I used those from the stock hot end) - 2 * M4x12 (M4x20 work as well) - 4 * M4x20 to fit the two parts together - 8 * M4 nuts - 8 * M4 washers The fan provided with the hot end is fitted on the front part using E3D's screws. Print settings: Material: PETG Speed: 40mm/s Layer height: 0.2 Infill: 100% I've used this setup for at least 1.5kg of PETG, and it works well. I'll likely post another version with wire management and the fan tube included. The CAD file is available upon request.
