Geeetech A10 / A10M Base Cover incl. Raspberry option
thingiverse
To eliminate one vulnerable aspect of the A10M, the exposed cable between the board and the display, I created a 2-part cover. Since my printer has slightly inaccurate tolerances, I hope this design fits well on yours. Given that I don't have an A10, I can't confirm its fit, but the cover should also work with the standard A10 model. Your feedback is appreciated if it fits, allowing me to update the description. Additional parts needed: 2(4) M4x20 Allen bolts Assembly: 1. Remove the two display screws and move the display to the right. 2. Disassemble the top-right screw of the electronics cover. 3. Slide in the top part from the front and carefully lift the lower part until the back brim snaps into place at the frame, ensuring the display cable is within the opening on the right brim. 4. Reattach the top-right screw of the electronics cover. If using a fan exhaust cover, you may need to slightly bend it and use a longer screw. 5. Insert the bottom part from below and secure it with the two bolts holding the display in place. 6. Install the front two M4x20 Allen bolts, which should lock the cover securely into position. (The remaining two bolts can only be assembled if the bed is detached; you may choose to assemble them as well.) I've also included a freeCAD file for manual adjustments. If you encounter any issues, please let me know so I can address them. News: - A user requested adding a raspberry mount to this case. This design comes without testing since I'm already working on a separate case for the raspberry, a 5V power supply, and a 5V relay to control the entire printer on/off. - It includes both M4 and M3 versions (since M3 is more common in 3D printers). Hope this works. Let me know if any corrections are needed... Thanks to JayFai for pointing out issues in the exported STL; I've created a v2 of all files. If you identify other problems, please let me know.
