GeeBee Model Z for microarmor
thingiverse
The fabulous GB model Z as seen at the beginning of "The Rocketeer" movie. This plane was officially clocked at a blistering 314mph in 1931, earning its reputation as the fastest aircraft of its time, but a catastrophic crash put an end to its reign and paved the way for the development of the R1 and R2 models. A miniature replica of this iconic plane sits proudly on display, scaled down to 6mm in size. Next to it is a larger model, slightly modified with a transparent cockpit that allows my dog to take front-row seats - much to my wife's delight, as she adores our canine companion and considers it the perfect subject for her children's book, "The Adventures of Calliope Cornflake". Using Blender 2.79b, I carefully crafted the model in full dimensions before scaling it down to 1/100 for the STL file. To achieve the desired 6mm size, I further reduced the scale by 35% using a slicer. The larger plane is already scaled at 1/100 in the STL file. As an added touch, I've included a set of 15mm dice as reference points to help gauge the model's proportions. As always, I only share my prints if they meet my quality standards - so rest assured that this model has been thoroughly tested and is ready for production.
