Gecko egg incubation tray

thingiverse

An updated, more versatile version of my last egg tray (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4674920) Like the previous version, this one is meant to deal with eggs flipping in my incubator as I slid it around, and as an alternative to the round ones I'd have to pay for. I took more inspiration from that model, and made the new one...somewhat stackable, and added more slots for eggs, and better ventilation. I also removed the slot for index cards, as my paper was getting soggy and moldy (obvious in hindsight)
Printing size
If your slicing software resizes it, and you're wanting this for crested gecko eggs, print so that the size is X = 82mm, Y = 95mm and Z = 14mm. That way, there's plenty of room for a young egg to expand, and large enough to hold an egg that's ready to hatch. In the picture, the egg in the top left is 1 day from hatching( its sibling hatched the night before in my other tray model) and the egg in the bottom right is 7 days old (laid on 12/16/20) and undersized, so it really can hold all sizes. Last pic is of the baby that was one day from hatching.
Future versions
In the future, I'm going to improve the stacking, increase the height and make the sides a bit thicker.
