Gebirgsjäger Snow Goggles
thingiverse
This design draws inspiration from the iconic German Gebirgsjäger WWII Mountain Trooper Snow Goggles, as seen in the accompanying photo. The Inuit people of the Arctic are also a key influence, with their traditional slit-style goggles featuring two horizontal slits that were precision-crafted into a single piece of material with an adjustable head strap. This design accommodates various face shapes by allowing simple adjustments to be made to the flexible straps, which secure the eyepieces in place. The narrow slits are designed to minimize snow glare and wind, while also enhancing visual acuity. However, it's crucial to exercise caution when wearing these goggles: they significantly restrict your field of vision, making it hazardous to operate vehicles or engage in other high-risk activities.
