Gearstruder J7 - Dual Drive Extruder
thingiverse
Minimal Bowden Housing for Printrbot Gearhead Drive Gears, 1.75mm Filament, and NEMA17 Motor. The primary gear is inserted from the side, secured by M3 screws or setscrews that hold it in place and adjust tension. This design utilizes a bowden coupler from RobotDigg, pairing well with Emerald Green PETG filament from Atomic Filament. I prefer using 48mm NEMA17 motors with Gearhead drive gears for optimal performance, but a 40mm version can be used to reduce weight or a larger one if more torque is needed. It's essential to ensure the setscrew doesn't protrude on the primary drive gear, especially when using a motor without a D-shaft. There's also a NEMA14 version available and information about several dual-drive bowden extruders uploaded on thrinter.com.
