Gearstruder J7 - Dual Drive Extruder
cults3d
Minimal housing for Printrbot Gearhead drive gears, 1.75mm filament, and NEMA17 motors is all you need. The secondary gear goes in from the side, and M3 screws or setscrews keep it in place while adjusting tension. Designed to work with a bowden coupler from RobotDigg, Emerald Green PETG from Atomic Filament is used as filament. I like using 48mm NEMA17 motors with Gearhead drive gears, but a 40mm version can be used for weight reduction or a larger one for more torque if needed. Make sure the setscrew doesn't stick out on the primary drive gear, especially without a D-shaft motor. A NEMA14 version is also available and information about several other dual drive bowden extruders has just been uploaded to thrinter.com
