Gears - Pully - Motor Mounts
thingiverse
I've been working on some gears and parts for a model railroad project of mine, and thought I'd share them with you. The large gear was originally designed to fit inside a 1 1/2-inch PVC pipe, but that didn't quite work out as planned. I believe the larger gear has 72 teeth, while the other two have 20 and 30 teeth respectively. Now, I need to track down the file for the central spindle - it's probably hidden somewhere on my computer. To print these parts successfully, you'll need a metal rod about 1/8 inch in diameter to serve as the mounting point for the gears or pulley. Since everything was designed using inches, be sure to multiply all dimensions by 25.4 when slicing your project in Cura or whatever software you're using. I also found that scaling up the motor mounts by approximately 0.03 inches helped them fit together more smoothly. It's been great seeing what other makers have created with these parts - feel free to share your projects!
