This is a one-of-a-kind, rotating spiral bevel gear iPhone dock that's both whimsical and functional. It's the ultimate EngiNerdy desk accessory for anyone who loves gears and gadgets. As an engineer by trade, I'm a self-proclaimed gear enthusiast. This dock was specifically designed to accommodate the OEM Apple lightning cord as it passes through the rotational shaft/base, ensuring smooth rotation without any binding issues. I used GearTrax CAD software to create a precise spiral bevel gear mesh with a 3:1 reduction ratio. The gears are designed to maintain 100% fill to prevent delimitation under load. To assemble the dock, use a rubber hammer and a socket over the shaft to press-fit it onto the pinion.
