To fulfill my desire for a unique tie clip, I crafted a moving gear version. If you'd like one without a 3D printer, check them out on Etsy (https://www.etsy.com/listing/185527208/moving-gears-tie-clip-tie-bar-tie-clasp?). Printing requirements include Replicator 2, PLA, .2mm layer height (for better quality, try .15 to .1), 2 shells with 100% infill, and supports on the clip itself. Note that a minor cleanup is necessary for proper gear attachment to pins. To create this tie clip, print two of each gear and one clip.
