Geared Nema 11 Extruder 1.75 mm J-Head
thingiverse
This reworked extruder is based on Wild Bill's design, but with a geared NEMA 11 motor due to issues with the PG35l version. It offers excellent retraction at high acceleration and uses a 27:1 ratio motor from Phidgets.com (http://www.phidgets.com/products.php?category=23&product_id=3321_0). The idler remains the same as Wild Bill's design, while the hot end fan mount is adapted from Mike P.'s Delta-Pi printer on Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:53708). For assembly, print the extruder body with support and use the following hardware: 1x MK7 drive gear; 2x 50mm M3 screws; 2x springs; 4x M3 washers; 2x M3 nuts; 2x M4 nuts; 2x 20-25mm M4 nuts (depending on mount); and 3x 20mm M3 screws, plus a 608 bearing and an 8mm piece to hold the bearing. If you have questions, feel free to ask.
