geared motor led housing
thingiverse
I fabricated hand-crank LED lights utilizing six-volt geared motors readily available on eBay or Amazon. Additionally, I employed a 2.7-volt one-farad supercapacitor and a ten-millimeter two-volt red LED. A rectifier circuit allowed the crank to function in both directions. Building it was relatively straightforward with some soldering experience. The two components are secured together using super glue. The smoother the finish, the clearer the whistle blows. I print at 102% scale, and a bit of sanding ensures everything fits together nicely. Your best luck will be needed if you attempt to replicate this project.
