This awesome 3D printed planetary gear light switch cover is a fantastic decoration that every serious car enthusiast or engineer will adore. Perfect for placing at the entrance to a workshop, man-cave, or garage. The assembled unit measures 6.25 inches in diameter. The largest printed part has a diameter of 5.875 inches. The wrench file is the only one requiring print supports or scaffolding. Detailed printing and assembly instructions can be found in step 1 of the gear design guide on instructables here: http://www.instructables.com/id/A-Practical-Guide-to-FDM-3D-Printing-Gears/ This creation was inspired by traditional wooden gear light switch covers, which are available online at Amazon. https://amzn.to/2FIvG7Q You can also see a video demo of this awesome device on YouTube here: https://youtu.be/52C0UFKODkg Print Settings: Printer: Witbox 2 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .3 Infill: 15% Notes: Print Instructions: Print all parts with at least three perimeters on all sides, top and bottom, using 15% infill. I recommend a maximum layer thickness of 0.3mm. Any material will work as long as you can prevent warping, which would completely ruin this device.
