This is a Geared Extruder that can be used with 3mm filament. It works very well outside an enclosure. Of course, you could also use it for 2.85 and 1.75 mm filaments as well. I made this extruder to fit the K8200 of Velleman because the old one was no longer functioning properly. The gear ratio remains the same as the original, so there's no need to make any changes to the firmware. The filament guide part can be drilled to fit your preferred filament size. The driver part is an M8 bolt that has been turned down to 5 mm on the end to fit the filament driver gear. For dimensions, please refer to the provided pictures. You can also modify the "hot end bracket part1.stl" to "hot end bracket part1 2.5mm higher.stl" if your hot end is higher than usual. I had to make this modification because my Bowden connection made it necessary. For additional parts, please see the included pictures. The small gear has 10 teeth and the big gear has 43 teeth. The dark gray parts are printed in PET-G Carbon, while the orange parts are printed in ABS. After using this extruder successfully without a spring, I encountered issues with a specific filament that wasn't equally round on its length. This caused extruder failures due to the filament bar not flexing properly. To solve this problem, I incorporated a spring into the design. This makes it more reliable and also allows for adjusting the pressure on the filament to be less critical. Please note that the new pressure bar holder is slightly longer to accommodate the spring. Additionally, I've included a new knob and M5 bolt, as well as an 8mm x 20mm spring. Please be aware that the old bolt was an M6, but it took up too much space.
