GEARED Egg bot
thingiverse
This is a reengineered version of an egg bot. The gear allows for higher precision on the y-axis. This project utilizes NEMA 14 instead of NEMA 17 stepper motors. Operating system features a Melzi Reprap board I had leftover using a modified Merlin firmware. Using a modified unicorn Inkscape plugin. Note: Several components require you to pause during printing and drop in a nut (M4 or 5/16) UPDATE: Added new gear y plate. Stronger design, less flex. Added thumb nuts. For those who want to use a Reprap-style board such as the Melzi board see the following locations for assistance with software.
