GearCube

This is the Gearcube. The idea for the Gearcube began as a question in conversation with a friend. The conversation went like this: "I had an idea," my friend said. "What if you made a cube that has gears on all sides, but when you turn one gear, all the gears turn at the same time? I think that would be pretty cool." "That's a great idea!" I replied. "Let me try to make it happen." And I did. Creating the Gearcube may seem like an easy task, but it turned out to be a complicated challenge. There were many obstacles along the way; the gear concept came to life with much deliberation. Fortunately, all the files are available here so you can skip the math and hours of work spent on something just for fun. If you want to know how I came up with it, feel free to read through this post. If not, enjoy.
