Gearbox Keychain Remix
thingiverse
I completely redesigned this Remix to swap the printed clips with fast-breaking gears that can be secured to a base using an M3x8mm Screw for each gear. The new design closely resembles metric gears with a module of 1. I printed my initial versions with a 0.5mm nozzle, but it's recommended to use a 0.25mm nozzle instead. I'll soon upload more bases. I'm grateful to Umake for the inspiration behind this project. Here are some updates: To give your gears a glossy finish when printing directly on glass, I've added an upside-down version of each gear type with a 0.5mm thin wall. This feature makes them printable without support, but requires drilling a hole after printing. Here are some new additions to the Remix: * Base for Z20-Z40 * Two Z40 gears with one or two grooves * Gears for Z20, Z30, and Z40, complete with knobs (thanks to Bobovich) * A 'halter_five_4xZ14_1xZ20.stl' design Additional models have been added, including: * Triple-open Z20-30-40 gear system * Duo-opended Z20-40 and Z14-20 gear systems * Five-opening 4xZ14-1xZ20 stl file. If you make one of these remixes, please add a photo so everyone can see them in action!
