Gearbox Demo (Solid Core Compound Planetary)

Gearbox Demo (Solid Core Compound Planetary)

thingiverse

Another demo of the Solid Compound Planetary Gearbox has been created, with updated source code that includes tidying up and refining the geometry. SCAD still presents a challenge due to its unreadable nature, but it's slightly improved now. Clamping jaws and knob options have also been incorporated. To print this gearbox in place and fully assembled without supports, ensure that your tolerances are dialed in and your slicer preserves the one-layer gap in the outer ring gears. After printing, separate the ring gears with a sharp object like a spatula or razor blade.
