Gear spinner w bearing weights
thingiverse
This is a substantial fidget spinner. It doesn't spin easily with one hand but spins well using two hands when weighted properly. I've designed a smaller MkII version as well (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2573142). I've used skate board bearing sized holes, 608, for both the actual bearing and the weights. Since I dislike wasting bearings as weights, I've created different "adapters" for each of these two prints - the bearing2hexnut adapter (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2044157) and my own bearing2marble adapter (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2573118) for the marble version. The steampunky design suits either hex nuts or marbles (though I prefer marbles aesthetically myself). For the marble version, I've gold sprayed the spinner and used a miniature wash to achieve the patina look, then sprayed it with varnish to keep the color even after weeks of spinning.
