One of the most significant benefits of 3D Printing is its ability to repair and restore damaged items. Just ask Erwin and Johan, who successfully rebuilt their Volvo Windshield Wiper Motor with impressive results! The motor in their 2003 Volvo V70 – 2.4 – D5 was in dire need of a new gear. To learn more about this remarkable project, visit our website at https://www.innofil3d.com/3d-printed-part-of-windscreen-wiper-motor-volvo/. Erwin and Johan Deinum are the masterminds behind this innovative repair job. They used an Ultimaker 2+ with the following settings to bring their motor back to life: Nozzle temperature was set at 210 degrees Celsius, while the bed temperature remained a consistent 60 degrees. The printing speed was optimized at 50 mm/s, and the fan speed was cranked up to 100%. Flow rates were also maxed out at 100%, with a 0.4mm nozzle used throughout the process. Support materials played a crucial role in ensuring the printed part adhered perfectly to the original motor.
