Gear Magnet
thingiverse
This is a palm-sized refrigerator magnet featuring working gears. The assembly requires some extra materials, but the end result is well worth the effort. Materials: Note: I used black craft magnets due to their affordability and ability to easily hold up the device. This eliminates concerns about the strength of the magnets. 1. Magnets: Diameter - 18mm, Height - 3mm 2. Superglue Steps: 1. Print the required parts. 2. Attach gears to corresponding locations (the placement is straightforward due to size differences; the larger gear should be in the center). 3. Apply a small amount of superglue to secure caps onto axes (excessive glue may cause gears to stick during assembly). 4. Use superglue to attach the three magnets into place (minor mistakes, such as applying glue on top of the magnet, do not significantly impact the outcome).
