GEAR GOGGLES The Gear Goggles design boasts a unique pair of glasses featuring 2 movable gears securely attached to the main frame via a rotational sliding slot. This intricate print poses a challenge due to its multiple components and wearable nature, necessitating comfort and safety above all else. The "Gear Goggles" name pays homage to the phrase "Beer Goggles," which describes hazy vision resulting from intoxication. This fitting moniker suits the product's playful, flashy design, making it an ideal party accessory! Designing this product involved numerous joining operations and trial gear sizing, requiring extensive referenced documents and join parts. Please note that the final print file is named "Geargogglestoprint.STL." From a visual perspective, hashtags and phrases were expertly extruded/cut into the gears and temple pieces. To ensure universal appeal, the glasses' dimensions had to accommodate various face shapes. The first iteration's frame dimensions were modeled after my own glasses, providing a comfortable fit for any wearer. The prototyping process involved multiple iterations through trial and error to achieve perfect tolerances, fill, and support. This meticulous approach ultimately led to a successful design that resulted in an entertaining product with all moving components functioning flawlessly.
