Designed as a fun toy to be kept on your fridge for children to play with. The gears spin on a central axle that houses the magnet, which is all print-in-place. There are two sizes: a 20-tooth and a 40-tooth.

There are only a few aesthetic designs for each size, but the most flexibility comes from the “plain” version. You can print that without top and bottom layers leaving the infill visible and you have an instant new design. I recommend hex infill if your slicer supports it. If you slicer also supports customizing settings for separate objects in the same print, this model is exported as two parts, so you can print the outside without top and bottom layers but leave the inside.

I used these magnets, they're 10mm in diameter and 2.6mm thick. The part has a little wiggle room for the size, the hole is 11mm in diameter and 3mm thick. I don't recommend anything too powerful for a few reasons, but mostly you want these to slide so no little fingers get crushed in the gears.

Enjoy!
