Gear for Vtech Owl baby monitor BM4500
thingiverse
Replacement gear set for the tilt axis on a Vtech Owl baby monitor BM4500. Posting this as it may help someone else. Purchased a used camera which had stripped tilt gear (would not move past a certain angle). Replacement parts have been modelled with coarser tooth pattern for 3d printing but maintains the same gear ratio. Tear down of the camera to access the gears is a bit of a process with a specific order of disassembly - I figured this out and was able to do it twice with breaking any tabs or electrical connections. Some photos are included to show what is involved. Models from Inventor using gear designer. Sliced in Prusa slicer (+GPX) and Printed with Flashforge Creator Pro. 0.15mm layer PLA. Post processing: drill through the hole in Gear 2. A sacrificial layer was added to help with hole + bridging
