March 8, 2022 update: just added a larger gear, 112mm with 186 teeth, designed for use with large cups. This new gear is a significant upgrade to the RotaJig rotary jig system for laser engravers, featuring a large (97mm diameter) gear and an improved motor bracket. With this gear in place, it's now possible to engrave cups and tumblers larger than 80mm. For more details and information about the entire setup, check out the video at https://youtu.be/UFv0MLxl9Ls and visit DeAngeCrafts at https://tinyurl.com/. Additional resources are available for those looking to assemble the jig, including detailed instructions at https://tinyurl.com/rex8byy. To achieve these impressive results, I used an Anet A8 printer, set to a temperature of 210 C, with a glass bed heated to 45 deg. C and a speed range of 65mm/s to 75mm/s. The layer height was precisely set at 0.16mm. Keep in mind that better printers can allow for even faster speeds. To build the RotaJig, you'll need several essential materials, including 5mm steel axles, a motor rated at 0.8A or similar, M5 and M3 screws, nuts, either a wooden base or four aluminum 2020 type rails, each measuring 20cm in length.
