Gear for Bourg Binder BB2000

A friend of mine owns a print shop. A crucial part on his aging Bourg Binder 2000 broke down and he couldn't find a suitable replacement. That's when he reached out to me for help, and I took on the challenge. We measured everything carefully and designed a new component using Inkscape's gear plugin. I then brought those details into FreeCAD and added all the necessary fine points. I 3D printed that part in pure ABS plastic, and it fitted perfectly. Unfortunately, there might have been a reason why the original gear gave out. This one also broke after just a couple of weeks, and so did its replacement. It's possible there was another problem lurking within that old machine all along. The entire machine has since been replaced, but this custom part would've done its job if the underlying issue had been addressed.
