Gear Failure analysis

In my graded coursework, I conducted a study involving a broken gear's failure analysis. Initially, I investigated the forces at play and subsequently simulated these using FEM on Solidworks Simulation. Post validation of the breakage point, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was employed to confirm the proposed fracture cause from the outset.
