Hi!\nThis is a customizer for gears and plates used in my Spiro Machine recently published on Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2039878)\nI've utilized the Parametric Involute Bevel and Spur Gears by GregFrost code, available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3575.\nWhy a customizer?\nThe number of teeth on gears and plates used in a spirograph determines the number of loops or points of drawn shapes.\nThe Spiro Machine files I've included feature various gears and plates, but you may want to experiment with different configurations. The customizer creates gears and plates with any number of teeth.\nThe Excel File\nThere's a relationship between plate and gear teeth that I've also included as an Excel file, which serves as a calculator for your custom gears.\nHow it works?\nWhen you create a gear/plate set, the number of teeth in the plate determines the variations of shapes depending on the gear's teeth. With this file, you can find a plate's teeth number with many variations and discard plates that are 'bored' or 'weird'. Once you have some interesting plates, look for gears that can draw nice shapes.\nIn the uploaded file, I've highlighted the plates and gears that I used for the Spiro Machine published.\nI may not have explained it well.
