Gear Driven Adjustable TUSH

Gear Driven Adjustable TUSH

***Reason for the remix:*** ======================================== This design came about when I ordered 2Kg of Colorfabb PLA thinking it would come in two 1Kg rolls, but instead got a huge single 2Kg roll. This left me with nothing to hold this spool, and this design was born from that. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is my Fourth 'Thing' and also my fourth 'Fusion 360' design. Large Gear Holder FINAL.stl If you choose to go for the #SteamPunk look as I have, then you’ll need ESUN Orange Glass (to imitate Bakelite) and Colorfabb Bronzefill (to look like the large ornate bronze gears of old) and LOTS of sanding to bring out the bronze look. You’ll also need the two gear holders so you don't sand away your fingers, as I did (OUCH)! These will allow you to sand the top of the two gears, to bring out the Bronze embedded in the PLA. <font color="green">**Instructions:** >>I’ve deliberately made this an imitation of the inside of an engine. You CAN’T accidentally break the Right slider regardless of which way you turn the small gear. The Connecting rod will simply push the slider in to the middle, or out again. You can hold the Spool in one hand and turn the small gear and the slider WILL move in or out! Because of the added weight, I’ve created two strengthening extensions on the TUSH sides, which you should use superglue to join the sides permanently. Also, for the same reason, you should superglue the TUSH holder to the sliders, ensuring things WON’T pop apart under load! To allow for differences between printers and whether or not you use Colorfabb Bronzefill, I've made the connecting rods in two pieces. Slide the inner sleeve in far enough that the TUSH moves in and out properly, and then superglued to hold them in place!
