What's required is simply having a customized, 3-dimensionally printed gear template that precisely positions each tooth onto a gear blank, allowing you to smoothly slide the blank backwards and forwards across the cutting tool in perfect sync. All it needs are basic manual assembly skills and running it on standard drill machinery – just those plus access to advanced 3-d printers will get the job done with ease.
